Meet My Pets! ♡

A bit of a different post for you all today. I love animals and have an expanding pet family - I have had many different pets in my time and I thought I would introduce you to some of them! I shall tell you their names and show you some pictures and give you a little bit of information about them. Enjoy!

So, first off we are going to meet my bearded dragon. She is a lovely lady and her name is Frankie. She is currently around 5 years but I myself have only owned her for a few months. She was given to me and I offered to look after her. She is such an interesting animal to look at and may appear scary to some but there is really nothing to fear. She loves to be handled and though they may not look it, they are very social animals. She is really quite a quirky character as all of my animals are and she has settled in really well here! She lives in something called a vivarium and she has a constant source of heat provided to her via a heat lamp which basically acts as her sun. She eats vegetables, some fruits and greens as well as worms and locusts - yum!

Secondly, lets meet my newest addition. Her name is Skye and she is a beatiful budgie! I got her just under a week ago and as you may be able to tell she is still quite young. I think she has such beautiful colouring and she is really lovely to own. Birds are such nice companions and handling them is an amazing feeling because of the trust and patience required to get a bird to trust you and feel comfortable with you. She is still a bit shakey but she is definitely getting more comfortable and her character is slowly but surely coming through. She eats mainly trill and really isn't very high maintenance at all. As with a lot of animals, giving them attention and one on one time is essential for bonding and it is definitely working so far.

Lastly but certainly not least, meet my beautiful little cat, Bella. As you can see she is a gorgeous silver persian. She is extremely fluffy and so, so soft. I have had her for around 3 years now since she was a little kitten and I adore her. Being a cat and though she is a persian, she really isn't very much maintenance. She likes to sleep a lot and is a very lazy little feline at times. However, she is very friendly and loves to come and give you cuddles and lie on you whether you want her too or not and regardless of what you are doing! I just love buying her pretty little collars with bells on but she doesn't seem as excited about that as me..

And those are my pets! I really hope you liked this post and enjoyed meeting my little family. If you have any questions or comments please leave them down below! Thanks for reading.

My Favourite Shower Gels!

Hey!

In this post I thought I would share you my current favourite shower gels! I love collecting shower gels of all different scents and brands but along the way I have always had ones that I go back to!

Original Source Tea Tree and Mint Shower Gel:

Well to begin with, this products smells amazing! It is this really refreshing but not too overpowering scent of mint which I love. It also lathers up well and a little bit does go a fairly long way. The ingredients within the shower gel also makes you sort of 'tingle' and it leaves your skin very refreshed and very clean. This is a perfect shower gel for an early morning shower as it is great for waking you up!

Lush's Happy Hippy Shower Gel:

This shower gel contains grapefruit and again gives you that tingling feeling, but only slightly. So of course this is also great for waking yourself up. What I like about this product is that it has multiple uses for both body and hair and that a little bit of this product can go a very long way. It is really not my favourite scent but it is pleasant! Lush shower gels are a little pricier than normal shower gels but they are entirely worth it in my opinion as they are natural, great quality and they don't test on animals!

Lush's The Olive Branch Shower Gel:

Another Lush product in this list and this one is probably my favourite! It contains olive oil and bergamot oil as well as other ingredients which are great for your skin. I find that this leaves my skin so soft and moisturized without even putting a body lotion on afterwards. The smell is really nice and only a little bit of the product is enough for my entire body. Again, this product has multiple uses which is always handy.

Soap and Glory's Clean On Me Shower Gel:

I love Soap and Glory and this was one of the first shower gels I had tried by them. I particularly love the packaging of S&G products as it is so retro and quirky. The gel contains ingredients such as mandarin peel and I have found that not only does it clean the skin, it also nourishes it and moisturizes it a little too. The full product is in a large pump bottle and is quite pricey for a shower gel. However, Soap and Glory do advertise to be 'luxury' products and so from that point of view, their prices aren't so bad! I have found 2-3 pumps of the shower gel is enough for my whole body so it doesn't last as long as the others, but I love it nonetheless!

The Body Shop Strawberry Shower Gel:

I adore Body Shop shower gels and I luckily always seem to find them on sale, too! I have tried many of the different scents of the gel they do and I really do love them all. However, strawberry has always been my go to one from their and it's the one I have always stuck to. The smell is lovely, it is not too out there and is instead light and refreshing. These bottles last forever, seriously! Even the little 60ml bottles you can get from their little gift sets last me ages - longer than some of my other shower gels! As with Lush, it is natural and the brand is against testing on animals which I really like about the product and the business. Without fail, I always have to have a Body Shop shower gel at hand - they are just that nice!

And there you have it; my current favourite shower gels! I hope you liked this post and enjoyed reading it. As always, thank you for reading and be sure to leave a comment or suggestion down below!

Have you tried any of the above shower gels? What are some of your favourites?

Easy and Simple Cat Eye!

In this post, I thought I would show you how I achieve this simple, subtle cat eye look. I love the cat eye and I think it looks great however you wear it, but sometimes I like to make a little less dramatic and more natural looking. Keep on reading and I will share with you all how I do this!

First off, these are the things I use for this look:

• A thin, slanted eyebrow or liner brush.
• A matte black eye shadow.
• A liquid liner or liner felt tip.

Now let's begin! First off, I like to start my liner application from the middle and then I carry on towards the end of my eye. I take a little bit of the matte black eyeshadow onto my brush and begin to apply it onto my top waterline in small strokes going across.

When I reach the end of my eye, I continue the line a little further onwards - depending on the desired length of my flick. I then open my eye and apply the eye shadow from the outer corner of my bottom waterline to the end of the line I extended on my upper lid. This should create a small triangle shape which is our flick.

After this, I open my eye and continue to apply the eye shadow softly onto the rest of my top lid until I reach my inner corner.

You can leave your liner here if you wish or you can make it a little more dramatic. The fact I use a brush and shadow to begin with means extending and thickening the liner is a lot easier and more accurate. As well as extending and thickening your liner, you can intensify the colour by applying liquid liner on top!

And it is as simple as that! I hope you found this post helpful and not too confusing. Thank you so much for reading!
