Haul ft MAC and Victoria Secrets!

Hello everyone! How is your week going so far?

Mine is going pretty well, it isn't long now till I start back at University - which strangely, I'm looking forward too! Let's see how long that lasts..

Anyway, I recently got a few things and thought I'd post a mini haul about it. Firstly, I made a repeat purchase of a product I've really been enjoying for the past few months. It is none other than the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water. This for me is a skincare basic and I'd definitely recommend it - you can check out a review I wrote on this product here!

 Next is a product I have heard so much about for quite a long time now in the beauty community. That product is MAC's Paint Pot in "Soft Ochre" which is a cream formula, eyeshadow base. I wanted something to dull out the pigmentation of my eyelids and provide a clean base for my eyeshadows and so far, I'm really enjoying this!

And finally, I took a trip to Victoria Secrets.. No, I didn't get a fancy (and extremely overpriced) bra or pair of undies but something even better; a body mist! This stuff is in the scent "Mango Temptation" and is DIVINE. Seriously, it smells so good - if you are ever near a VS store, give it a sniff and you'll see what I mean!

Mini Haul Ft. Lush & Butter London!

Hello everyone! I hope you're having a good week so far. Mine has been pretty good and one particularly good thing that happened in my week was that I GOT A JOB! 

This will be my first "proper" paid job and I'm super excited to start it. 

Anyway, in todays post I just wanted to share with you a small haul from this week. 

The first thing that I got was a Lush bath bomb - it's the Rose Jam bubble bar and the main reason I wanted it was for its really beautiful smell. It's sweet and candy-like and that's my favourite!

Finally, I got two nail polishes from the brand Butter London. Now, I'm not one to spend ridiculous prices for nail polishes even if they are higher end and in this case, it was no different! I got these polishes for only £3.99 each - £8.00 less than their RRP! How you ask? From TK Maxx!

 I had no idea it had such an awesome collection of beauty products - I'm actually really impressed at their collection, especially in nail polishes, you should definitely check it out.

Haul! Ft. TopShop, LA Splash & more!

Hello everyone! Today on the blog I am bringing you a fairly small fashion and beauty haul! This is a collective haul of things I have bought over the last few weeks or so, enjoy!

I firstly got a few pairs of shorts for the (hopefully) approaching warmer weather. I don't really like to get my bare legs out in shorts as I frankly don't like them, but I love the look of denim shorts with thin black tights and that's how I enjoy styling them. The first pair I got was from TopShop and the second is from the vintage store Harper and Lewis.

Both shorts are high waisted and in that sort of "mom" style fit - the Harper and Lewis shorts are made from vintage Levis and I'm so excited to own them! I've been searching for shorts like this for a long time and I'm very happy to have such a nice pair in good condition! I'm really liking the distressed effect as well with the loose seams on the bottom of both of these shorts.

Next off, I popped into TopShop and checked out the sale items. I found this beautiful Lilac jumper and just had to snap it up! Now is pretty much the perfect time to be snapping up sale items as most of them are Winter clothes which sorts me out nicely for next year! I also grabbed this really cool, silver bag that I think looks so unique which is why I had to get it. I've really got nothing like it and despite it's colour, I feel like it'll actually be quite a versatile piece!

Finally, I got some liquid lipsticks from the brand LASplash. I've seen this brand so much on Instagram and for the longest time I have been lusting over their amazing collection of lipsticks. I had assumed it was going to be pretty impossible to get ahold of any of them until I saw that they were being sold on LoveMakeup. I quickly ordered 3 shades and after trying and wearing "Poison Apple", I can safely say that I love the formula of these lipsticks. Look out for a review coming your way soon!

That's about it for my haul - pretty modest as I said but I'm in love with all my purchases! Especially those lipsticks, I think i'll definitely be buying more!

ASOS Haul!

Hey! It's been a little while since I've done a haul post and since I recently got some things from ASOS, I thought I'd share them here/ I took advantage of the awesome 25% off they had for students and got some things I'd been eyeing up for a while!

ASOS Fitted Blouse | £25

So, firstly I got this fitted, long sleeve white blouse. I think a white blouse is a great basic to have in your wardrobe and there's plenty of outfits I can see myself incorporating this into!

Fred Perry Striped T-shirt | £40

Okay so this I have been eyeing up for AGES. This piece is so simple yet versatile and I really love it - from the striped pattern to the fit of it, love!

NewLook Chelsea Boots | £24.99

I'm really into little black boots recently and I don't actually own a pair of chelsea boots. When I saw these I instantly loved them and thought they were too good to miss out on for such a good price!

ASOS Bandana Headscarf | £6

I love all things retro and I got this bandana to re-create that kind of rockabilly pinup look. This a great piece for vintage style up-dos!

Pieces Amua Ring | £4

I've been wanting some cute dainty rings and I spotted these and really liked them. I like simple jewellery - especially when it comes to things like rings and so these are perfect for me!

ASOS Crop Top | £6

This crop top is again another basic that I think is good to have in my wardrobe. It'll be good for layering as well as wearing along with skirts or high waisted jeans.

REVIEW: MALLZEE: Personal Shopper App!

Hey guys, today I wanted to talk about a cool new app I have recently found out about called Mallzee. 

So, what is Mallzee?

Mallzee is a personal shopper application that you can carry around in your pocket whenever and wherever you are. Mallzee tailors to your own personal style, which saves so much time because you can find exactly what you want easily.

The Mallzee app offers over 200 brands, some of my favourites including ASOS and Topshop - with that much variety there's definitely something for everybody. When you're looking at a product you can also simply swipe to the left for a 'YES' or to the right for a 'NO' - a feature that helps the application to further specify your tastes. As well as this, there are many other specification options which means you can really refine your search and find exactly what it is you want - an element of the app I particularly love and this saves so much time!

 

Aswell as filtering through products for your and finding stuff to suit your own personal taste, the app has a nifty little twist which allows you to share items with your friends who can then comment and give their opinion on it - potentially saving you from a fashion mishap! I think this is a really awesome idea because it provides a great social edge to the application, as if you're out shopping with your friends - but in the lovely comfort of your own home! Perfect for when you want a lazy day but want to treat yourself to some retail therapy.

Personally, I think this app is a great idea. It saves time, energy and best of all you can find some lovely new additions to your wardrobe with the touch of a button! What's not to love about it? I'd highly recommend it, especially for those of you who love to online shop like myself.

Mini Fashion Haul! 28/09/13.

I have fashion haul for you today! This past week I have picked up a few pieces which I thought i'd share with you. Enjoy!

So, first off I picked up this parka coat. I absolutely love it! I have been searching high and low for the perfect paka coat and I am so happy I managed to find this beauty! I love the fur hood detailing and cosy, fluffy inside. It's super warm and very comfortable. I got this coat from Select Fashion and it cost me  £35 which I think is very reasonable.

Next, I picked up this tartan looking shirt. This shirt is very light weight but not too think and its an oversized fit which I love. I got one size bigger so it would fit a little baggier on me and so that I could wear it with leggings. I really like this shirt and have been looking for something like this for quite a while. I also got this from Select Fashion and it was £14!

Thirdly, I got this really cute grey, woolly hat. I love the fluffy little bobble it has on the top. This hat is nice and thick and will be perfect for the Winter. I found this hat in Newlook and it retails for £6.

Now, last but not least I have this tee shirt. I recently saw my favorite band EVER Paramore in concert and as I always do, I picked up their tour shirt from the merchandise stand. I love this shirt and I know I will be getting a lot of wear out of it. This cost £20 which is actually cheaper than the one they sold at their last tour, no complaints there!

What's in my bag?

Hey! So today I thought I would do something a little bit different. I don't know what it is but I love what's in my bag posts and videos and I am always looking at them. Therefore, I thought it was time I joined in and did one myself! Let's get started..

So, first off this is my bag. It is a tan coloured messenger bag from River Island. It's a medium sized bag and has a zip all around it that allows for a little more space if needed. I love this bag and the colour especially - it goes with basically everything. I accessorised the bag a little I guess you could say by adding some badges of my favourite bands. Now - what's inside?!

So, the first thing in my bag is my make up bag. This bag is from Cath Kidston, it so pretty and I love the design. I just carry in it things to touch up my makeup with! I bought this from Asos.

I also have my purse in my bag. I got this as a gift but I know that it is from River Island. It has loads of card slots and compartments and I love the design of this purse. It also has a pull out strap so that it can be used as a clutch!

Next off I have my glasses. I got this cute black rose case from eBay and my glasses are from Optical Express. They are Dolce and Gabbana frames and of course prescription lenses.

Also in my bag I have my umbrella. I love this umbrella so much, it is polka dotted which is also a winner for me and I think it looks really retro too. This is from Cath Kidston and was bought from Asos.

My iPod is something I always carry around with me. I love this thing and considering commuting to Uni means buses everyday - this is going to be with me daily!

I also carry with me hand cream and hand sanitize. Germs are everywhere and it also good to have clean hands so that's why I have my Soap and Glory Hand Maid with me. I also sometimes get quite dry and sensitive hands which is why I carry with me this mini Cath Kidston hand cream.

I have this little rose shaped contact mirror which is also a brush. This comes in handy if i wanna put my hair up or need a mirror to touch up!

In my bag I also carry this cute little tin with me. It used to have mints in it and now I just use it to carry some aspirin and stuff in as I tend to get headaches.

I think there's a certain brand trend in my bag because I have yet another Cath Kidston product in it! This time, I have cute little floral bus ticket holder.

I also have this Simple body spray which doesn't really need much explaining! It's in the scent True Love.

Finally, I have this super cute USB in my bag. I will be using this for Uni work when I start in a week or so and I absolutely love it. I am a massive Batman fan so this is not only useful, but pretty cool too!
