MAC LIPSTICK COLLECTION

For a lot of people, MAC has always been a go to brand for transitioning your makeup collection into higher end, more "professional" products. Whilst I have always loved and always will love drugstore makeup, as my interest and collections have grown, I have wanted to delve more into higher end brands. The first brand that I delved into was MAC and it all started with a red lipstick. Since then, I have discovered an abundance of high end and independent brands that I have fallen in love with but MAC lippies have always had a special place in my makeup-loving heart.  So, since getting that very first lipstick a few years ago, I have slowly worked up my collection and I thought I'd share it with you all today, enjoy!

Russian Red

Matte finish. Intense-blush red.
This was my first ever MAC lipstick and is still one of my favourites. It's a classic, universal red shade and it's perfect for a go-to retro glamour look. A red lipstick is a must have in a makeup collection for me and I love this one.

Heroine

Matte. Bright Purple.
I adore purple lipsticks and this is easily one of MAC's most unique and striking lipstick shades. I always get compliments when I wear this and it's definitely one of my favourite lipsticks of all time. Sharp cat eye liner and this shade is one of my most loved makeup looks and one I always go back to time and time again.

Violetta

Amplified. Bright, clean, violet purple.
Another purple lipstick - this time with more a pink undertone than Heroine. It's one of MAC's Amplified formula's so it's super bright and striking. I like to pair this lipstick with a simple eye because I love the contrast that it creates.

Captive

Satin. Pinkish-plum.
When I want a dark lip but not one that is too intense, Captive - and similarly, other mid-tone plum's like this are my favourite kind of colours to wear. I like to either team them with simple liner eye looks or deeper, smokey eyes. Captive has a softer finish that a matte, so they stay feeling creamy and comfortable on the lips which I like.

Creme Cup

Cremesheen. Light blue pink.
This is probably my favourite go-to lipstick shade for a natural lip. It's easy to apply and wear and due to it's creme-sheen formula, it's super moisturising and comfortable. For a more defined lip look, I'll also sometimes team this with a darker toned lip liner.

Pink Plaid

Matte. Dirty blue pink.
Similarly to Creme Cup, Pink Plaid is more of a blue toned pink however it's slightly more intense than the former. This shade is one of my most recent MAC purchases and once again it's an easy to wear shade that I find is easy to team with multiple looks.

Brave

Satin. Pink beige with white pearl.
Brave is a classic MAC shade - one which is often raved about for achieving the coveted "Kylie Jenner" lip colour. Personally, I love this shade because it's fairly close to my own lip colour just with a bit more added depth. For that reason, it's a really versatile shade that can be teamed with an abundance of looks.

Lady Danger

Matte. Vivid-bright coral red.
Probably one of the most striking colours I own, Lady Danger from MAC is a really beautiful orange based red. I'd been wanting this shade for quite a while after seeing it on a video from Pixiwoo - it was such a unique and stunning shade to me that I'd wanted it ever since. Naturally, I was over the moon when I received it for Christmas from my lovely friend James and I cannot wait to wear it.

So that is my collection of MAC lipsticks. I love each and every one of them and feel as if they really represent my style when it comes to makeup looks. What are your thoughts on MAC lipsticks and do you have a favourite? I'd love to know!
