Current Beauty Favourites!

Hello everyone! Wow, it's been a while huh? My apologies for that, I've been so busy recently with work and University that blogging is something I just haven't had any time for. However, I'm slowly organising myself and getting back on track and so I'm back today with you for a beauty favourites post!

So, these favourites are going to be beauty products that I've been enjoying over the past few months. To start, we have my Beauty Uk Brow Kit. I've been enjoying this kit because it has everything you need in it; it has good colour variation and even comes with wax, an angled brush and a teeny pair of tweezers!

Next is Milani's Baked Blush in Luminoso - this is a really beautiful natural shade that looks great on lighter skin tones - especially if you have a yellow undertone. It blends like a dream and is really easy to build up in intensity - definitely try these blushes if you never have!

The infamous Chocolate Bar Palette from TooFaced is another beauty product I've been loving as of late. I can create multiple looks with these colours which is one of the reasons I'm really enjoying it. It also smells beautiful as it's actually made of cocoa powder which is an added bonus. 

MAC's Soft Ochre Paint Pot has been my favourite base for eyeshadow lately - it covers all my pigmentation on my eyelids and really helps to grab onto the eyeshadow that I apply. A little bit of this product goes a long way so it's definitely worth the money.

I have found the best way to apply my foundation and that is with a damp beauty sponge - honestly, it's amazing! I used to use this Real Techniques Sponge without wetting it - little did I know what I'd been missing. My foundation looks so flawless and natural when using this technique and for about a quarter of the price of a Beauty Blender, this Real Techniques sponge is a bargain.

My go to highlight these past few months has been Benefit's High Beam - it is such a beautiful, natural highlight that really makes it look like your skin is actually glowing. It's super easy to blend as it's a liquid formulation and it lasts for ages!

Finally, TooFaced's Sweetheart in the shade Something About Berry has been my final beauty favourite - I love how flattering this shade is on my skin tone as well as how glowy it makes my skin look. It's a mixture of three shades so it can be used individual or swirled together for a lovely flush to the cheeks.

Real Techniques Duo-Fibre Brush Set - ft. a Sigma Dupe!

It is a strong belief of mine that you can never have too many makeup brushes.  And so, naturally I enjoy collecting them - now, I probably do have too many but let's not focus too much on that!  A month or so ago, I purchased the Real Techniques Duo-Fibre brush set. In this post, I thought I'd share with you my thoughts and feelings on the set - enjoy!

Price? £23.99 Where to Buy? Boots This set is apparently Limited Edition (though it has been out for quite a while now with no signs of it discontinuing anytime soon) and it comes with three different brushes.  These are:

 - The Duo-Fiber Face brush: for lightweight application of blush / powder to the face. 

- The Duo-Fiber Contour brush: for controlled contouring and sculpting of the face.

- The Duo-Fiber Eye brush: for finishing touches to the eye and blending. 

My Thoughts:

I have been really enjoying these brushes and they have definitely conveyed me even more into a fan of the duo-fiber brush. This set is made beautifully well and are great quality as Real Techniques are well known for. 

What I love about this set and the brushes themselves most is that they give a really natural and soft flush of colour to the face. This makes them great for building up colour slowly as well as for allowing you to be able to control your coverage a lot more. This is particularly important element in terms of the brushes and their uses. Each brush is for a part of the face that you may not always want a heavy application. These brushes feel well made and soft to the skin and as mentioned before, blend products really well.

My favourite brush of the bunch is probably the contour brush. It's very easy I find to over-contour sometimes by adding too much product, but this brush picks up just enough allowing you to add definition and not sculpt the face too heavily. 

The Face Brush is one I have also enjoyed using as well and I have actually found it to be a pretty spot on dupe for a similar Sigma brush that I have in my collection. 

As you can see in the photo above, the Real Techniques Face Brush is just a little bit bigger than the Sigma F15 but in terms of performance, they're exactly the same and just as good in my opinion. 

The F15 is a whopping £21.50 in comparison to this 3-set collection set being only £23.99 for all 3 brushes. This means you're getting 3 brushes for more or less the price of one if you were to favour the Sigma brush of the Real Techniques one - now considering the brilliant quality of RT brushes, this is an amazing deal!

  

First Impressions: Crown Brushes.

Hey guys! Today I bring you a first impressions post on some makeup brushes that I recently bought. They are from Crown Brush and are brand whose products I've never previously tried. I've always heard quite a lot about them specifically on Youtube and so I thought I'd give their brushes a go. For the price range, I really couldn't resist.

I got 4 brushes in total and I tried to pick brushes with my needs in my mind. So I focused more on blending brushes and brow / eyeliner brushes as that is what my collection was lacking. The first thing I noticed about these brushes was that they have so many! There are variations upon variations of different brushes for different facial areas and I found that really impressive because it can help you to really find the 'perfect' brush for you. With both synthetic and bristle brushes in all shapes and sizes, there's really so much to choose from.

Secondly, they are so soft! Although there are other factors I think you can always get some sort of idea of a brushes quality from it's softness. Real Techniques for example are amazing quality brushes and they are so lovely to the touch and glide across the face. These too feel very similar to me, there's no scratchiness or discomfort when used - which is something I find with cheaper brushes. 

I've used them once so far and they do their job very well, there's no shedding and they evenly and cleanly apply product. Of course, I'll be sure to update you guys as I use the brushes more and come to clean them but so far, so good!

So far, I'm really impressed by these brushes and by Crown Brush in general. I really love the brushes I received and they do their job very well. All of their brushes are amazingly priced as well - it's incredibly good value for the quality you are receiving. I think i'll definitely be placing another order with this company soon to get some more makeup tools! If you haven't already, I'd recommend you check out this brand now!

TOP 5 FAVOURITE EYE PRODUCTS!

In this post, I am going to share with you my current top 5 favourite eye products. Let's get started!

Sleek's Oh So Special Palette - £6.99:

Firstly, I have my Sleek Oh So Special palette. I love this palette because it contains some really nice, workable shades for every day looks. It has a mixture of matte and shimmery finish shadows and there's a really good matte black in there too. The shadows blend well and there's barely any fallout which I love. It's a great little palette and is definitely worth it's reasonable price!

MUA's Heaven and Earth Palette - £4:

Next off, I have another palette. It's MUA's infamous Heaven and Earth palette. It contains twelve, really pretty, shimmery shadows and they are all gold and brown shades. Most of the shadows are really nicely pigmented and there is little fallout. I love this because of the neutral colours and the diverse shades of each colour that it has. It is so easy to create a day to night look with this palette and it's unbelievably cheap for it's great quality.

Elf' Eyeshadow Duo - £1.50:

The final eye shadow in this favourites post is my ELF eyeshadow duo in the shade Mocha. I love this because it has two key shades for me in most of my everyday eyeshadow looks; a medium brown and a pearly white. Both of these shadows have multiple uses, especially the white and they are so cheap that you really can't go wrong. It's a handy little duo to carry round with you on your travels and the pigmentation you get is very impressive.

L'oreal Telescopic Mascara - £10.99:

Fourth on my list is one of my favourite mascaras of all time: L'oreal Telescopic. I love the brush on this nascara and it lengthens my lashes like no other. My lashes are long but annoyingly straight and this gives them the length and volume I want. It's a little bit of pricier side but it definitely worth it and I would seriously recommend this mascara to anyone!

Real Techniques Eye Brush set - £20.99

Last but certainly not least on my life is my Real Techniques eye brush set. I love this set so much and i use them every single day. Each brush has it's own precise use and they are so, so soft on the eye which is always a definite plus. You can just tell that these brushes are high quality and they have a very reasonable price tag considering you get 5 brushes in the set.

Collection Beauty Haul!

Hey guys! Today, I have a beauty haul for you all.. enjoy! So, this is a collective haul and it includes stuff I have bought over a period of about 2 or 3 weeks.

First off, I got a Collection 2000 Cream Puff lip cream. I have wanted to try these for quite a while now and I got mine in the shade Cotton Candy. It's sort of like a liquid lipstick with a matte finish.

Secondly, I picked up this Rimmel Stay Matte concealer for the bargain price of just one pound! I got this concealer in the shade Soft Ivory.

Next off, I got these two packs of face wipes. I have used these for quite a while now and they are really delicate on the skin and remove make up very well!

I also picked up this Illuminating Moisturising Cream from the Body Shop. I love The Body Shop's Vitamin E products and they had a 30% sale on at the time so I snapped it up for seven pounds!

The next thing I purchased was from Superdrug and it's this Real Techniques stipple brush. I was in need of a new one and I really like these brushes for applying foundation so I picked it up! It was £10.99.

Also from Superdrug, I got this Aqua Hydrating Day Cream. I like light moisturisers and was running low on mine so I thought I would try this one!

Whilst at my local supermarket, I picked up this mascara. It's from Collection 2000 and it is there Longer Lashes Lengthening mascara. I got this on sale and it was £3.

And finally, I wanted something lighter and with a little coverage than a foundation so I bought this Maybelline Dream Fresh BB cream. So far, I am really liking it! This BB Cream was £7 from Feel Unique.
