My Favourite Lip Care Products.

Hey! Today I thought I'd share with you my favourite lip care products. I'm kind of obsessed with buying lip products - especially lip balms and chapsticks, so I thought this kind of post would be pretty ideal for me...

Good old Vaseline:

I think Vaseline is a product pretty much everyone has and carries around with them, I know I do. It has multiple uses but of course the most popular of which is for moisturising the lips. Whilst I don't think it is super moisturising despite it's super oily feel making you feel like it is, I think it is a great base for other lip products. It does do what you want it too in terms of making you lips feel softer, but I'm not sure whether it really improves the condition of my lips as such. It does tend to dry on the lips fairly quickly - even when it feels like you've used too much. That's not a big issue though because a little bit of it does go a long way.

Burts Bees Lip Balms:

I've been such a fan of BB lately. I just love their skincare range and in particular their lip care products. My favourites and probably the most well known of such are their chapstick-style lip balms. Currently, I have mine in Pomegranate and in Vitamin E and Peppermint. What I love about them is that they don't feel heavy or majorly noticeable on the lips but they are doing something lovely for them. They are very soothing and hydrating on the lips and the Peppermint one gives you that kind of cooling sensation that other lip products like lip plumbers do. These really do work - especially overnight and I think you can see a difference in the condition of your lips after using them.

Vitamin E:

Vitamin E has multiple uses. It's natural and pretty inexpensive which is always a bonus. It is also very moisturising and soothing in it's oil form. This is a Superdrug Vitamin E Balm and when warmed up between you fingers it will melt into an oil like consistency - much like coconut oil does. This has a very similar feeling to vaseline and whilst it can be used on any dry area of your body, for me it does wonders on the lips. Not only is it nourishing and great for softening them, it's perfect for any cuts you may have on them because it's very soothing and gentle. I use this mostly at night and I really enjoy it.

Blistex Intensive Repair:

This is a treatment for particularly damaged and chapped lips. It's mega moisturising and has quite a liquidy consistency. It's white in colour but it will become transparent on the lips as you apply it all over them. It also gives your lips that cool, tingling feeling and this helps to eradicate discomfort from having dry and damaged lips. It also restores the moisture back into your lips and this is the kind of product I would use once or twice a week to sort of 'deep condition' over night.

Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub:

Sometimes, your lips need a little help in removing all the dry and dead skin so your lips can be softer, smoother and ready for a lip product. This lip scrub is really effective and not to mention delicious. The pieces of sugar help to exfoliate and scrub away the dead skin leaving you with lovely soft lips. The best part is, the delicious smelling bubblegum scrub can be licked away when you're done! I really enjoy this product and you really only need the tiniest bit. I've had it since around December and I've barely made a dent in it. It's a handy product to have - especially in Winter months when your lips are most likely to be at their worst.

So, those are my personal favourite lip care products. I'm always finding and changing up my products but these are the ones that are proving the most effective for me currently.

REVIEW: The Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum Oil.

So, as you can see from the title, today I have another review for you all. This time it's a skincare product from The Body Shop!

I love products with Vitamin E in so I had to give this a go - especially considering I'd heard quite a few good things about it. This products costs £12 and you can purchase yours from your local Body Shop or alternatively on their site!

This oil is really nice and lightweight - don't be afraid of it if your skin tends to get oily because this product does not cause break out and like I said, feels lighter than most oil products. As well as this, it sinks nicely into the skin, replenishing it overnight. This means that it doesn't just sit on top of your skin doing nothing, it actually works through the night leaving you with really soft, healthy looking skin in the morning.

It's ideal for combination-oily skin, I'd probably stay away from this product if your skin is very oily but if it's sort of in between, definitely try it out! As it's an oil serum, a little bit goes a very long way so this is definitely worth it's price tag.

This is another one of my favourites from Vitamin E line that The Body Shop has and i'd definitely recommend that you give it a go!

Current Beauty Favourites!

I haven't ever done a favourites post before and this won't really be a monthly thing as I don't tend to try new things on that much of a regular basis. However, now and I then I think I will do more posts like this one.

So, as you have already guessed this is a favourites post! This will include make up products I have been enjoying using lately and a few skin care / bath products I'm really liking too! Let's begin..

I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS SHOWER GEL! I've never tried Lush's Snow Fairy before and I have definitely been missing out. This is a Christmas product so it only comes out once every year - and for this reason I made sure I stocked up accordingly! It has the most gorgeous scent to it, it's like bubble gum and candy floss - really nice and sweet with a fruity twist. It is also this really pretty shade of pink and has blue sparkling glitter swimming around in there too, this is a definite recommendation from me for a new shower gel if you are looking for one or just want to treat yourself!

My next favourite is Collection 2000 lip creams. I have these in three shades and my particular favourites that I have been wearing a lot lately are Cotton Candy and Fairy Cake. These lip creams are so smooth and moisturising on the lips and they last for ages. I have also posted a review on these lip creams which you can find here! 

Also on my list of favourites my Real Techniques stippling brush. Since I got it, I have been using this every single day to apply my foundation. I find it gives me just the right coverage and makes the application so smooth and accurate - it also makes for faster application which is perfect in the mornings.

Maybelline Eyestudio Gel eyeliner is another product I have been enjoying lately. I've never tried gel eyeliners before put this one really caught my eye. The product itself lasts for ages and goes on so soothly, giving you a really bold colour too. It's also very long lasting and doesn't smudge - it even stays put in my inner corner which is something I have never found in any type of eye liner I've tried in the past. The applicator you get with this gel eyeliner is also amazing as well which I was pleasantly surprised about!

Another eye product on my list is L'oreals Telescopic mascara. This is an old favourite of mine and a product that I always go back to and repurchase. To date it is the best mascara I have ever used for lengthening and separating the lashes and I would definitely suggest 

it to anyone!

Lastly in eye products is Sleek's Oh So Special palette which I have been using a fair bit these past few weeks. It's a very handy go to, every day palette and it has some really beautiful eye shadow shades within it. It's extremely versatile as a palette and you can create various different looks with it.

L'oreal's Nude de Teint foundation is also on my list for current faves! I have been truly loving using this product lately and I really, really like it. It is so light yet has a great coverage and it feels weightless on the skin. It goes amazingly far as well, only a few drops can cover your entire face. I have review this foundation, you should get it out here!

Finally on my current beauty favourites list is The Body Shop's Vitamin E Day Cream. I got this moisturiser as I really like skin care products with Vitamin E like the vitamin E facial bar (also from The Body Shop). This cream is very light and really moisturising on the skin and makes a great base for make up application. It makes a great daily moisturiser and I'm really enjoying using it currently.
