COLOURPOP HAUL

I love lipsticks - especially liquid lipsticks. They're long lasting, highly pigmented and most of them are pretty comfortable too. So, being a product that I love so much, it's safe to say that I'm always in the market to buy and find more! ColourPop has been a brand that I have seen around social media for quite some time and for a while now, I have been wanting to try their products. An indie brand however, Colourpop is fairly difficult to get in the UK - at least it was before I discovered the site Glammua which stock a lot of difficult to find, independent beauty brands.

COLLECTIVE BEAUTY HAUL

Happy Friday! I hope you've all had a good week so far. Today I'm bringing you a collective beauty haul featuring some of the recent purchases I've made over the past couple of weeks. Most of these items are things I've been eyeing up for a while and finally decided to purchase.

Firstly, I purchased a 115ml bottle of the Mario Badescu Skincare Facial Spray  - I'm very into hydrating facial sprays at the moment and use them mainly to refresh my makeup. An avid fan of MAC's Fix +, I'm always looking for sprays that give me the same or similar results to that. This one is infused with aloe, herbs and rosewater and has a distinct yet pleasant rose scent. 

Next I purchased my first Zoya nail polish in the shade "Brigette" - a beautiful mauve-nude. On the subject of nudes, I bought another Jeffree Starr lipstick this time in the shade "Doll Parts". It's a beautiful mauve-pink shade - it's very flattering and super wearable. 

I also purchased an Eye Of Horus brow pencil - it's packaging and design is very similar to that of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz pencil. I'm particularly excited to try this product and see how it performs! Last but not least, I got the above MakeUP Geek duo chrome eyeshadow in Mai Tai. It's a beautiful rose gold with a lilac sheen.

Birthday Haul

Hey everyone! I hope you're all doing well, I swear I'll actually get into a consistent swing of blogging at some point..

My birthday was last week and in this post I thought I'd share wth you a few of the awesome presents I received from family and loved ones. I'm a nosey person at heart and so hauls of any kind are posts that I personally love to read - enjoy! I love perfume and so any kind of gift giving scenario concerning me usually involves a fragrance.. or two!

 Gwen Stefani's range of perfumes are called "Harajuku Lovers" and they were fragrances that I was pretty obsessed with a few years a go. I decided that for my birthday I wanted to get one of my favourite scents from the collection; "Love".

I just love the designs of these perfumes too!

A Little Haul

Hey everyone! I hope you're all doing well. Today I have a small haul for you of a few things I've picked up recently...

Firstly, I picked up Bliss' Foot Patrol foot cream - a product I first tried in one of my Birchbox's. When I tried it, I instantly fell in love with it and knew I wanted to buy a full size version once I was done with the sample! It's a super softening, refreshing cream that gives your feet some much needed TLC.

Next up is the REDKEN All Soft conditioner. I'm not one for being overly fussy with shampoo's as to be honest, I don't look for anything special in them. I do however, want conditioner's with a little something extra particularly for the ends of my hair which tend to be quite dry. This conditioner is supposed to be loaded with keratin and conditioning ingredients to soften and moisturise the hair.

I also got for my hair the Schwarzkopf Got2B Powder which is basically a volumising powder that you pour onto the roots for some extra lift. I haven't tried it enough yet to give you my honest opinion on it - it's a different kind of product than I'm used to using so we'll see!

Lastly, I got this awesome case from Cath Kidston, I'm a sucker for all things vintage looking and floral and so when I saw this for half price, I knew it had to be mine! Hey, it's practical too though, right?

A Fragrant Christmas...

Hello everyone! I hope you all had an awesome Christmas and a fabulous New Year! Whilst the holidays are almost over, I thought I'd take the chance to reflect on some of the wonderful gifts I received in them. 

Working over Christmas at a fragrance counter has lead me to develop what some might call an unhealthy desire to own several beautiful smelling fragrances - if I didn't own enough already! So, with Christmas near to me, I took that as an opportunity to drop some not so subtle hints on the fragrances I'd love to receive off of my loved ones. Being the awesome people that my loved ones are, those hints were listened too and I was lucky enough to receive some fragrances that I'd been lusting over for quite some time! In this post, I thought I'd share with you and with the aid of Google, I shall be attempting to describe their scents to you as well!

1. Marc Jacobs - Oh, Lola!

This a sweet, floral and fresh scent that I've wanted for quite a while now. Like a lot of Marc Jacob's scents, it's light enough to wear daily and as always, comes with beautiful packaging!

Scent Notes:

Top Notes - Strawberry, Raspberry and Pear

Middle Notes - Magnolia, Peony and Cyclamen

Base Notes - Sandalwood, Tonka Bean and Vanilla.

2. Marc Jacobs - Decadence

The newest fragrance from Marc Jacobs, this is one I have only recently discovered. It is quite a mature scent to the ones usually released by this brand and indeed, to ones that I'd usually go for. It's a very sophisticated and luxurious smell and one that would be perfect for night time - though still light enough in my opinion to be worn in the day, too.

Scent Notes:

Top Notes - Plum, Iris and Saffron

Middle Notes - Bulgaria Rose, Jasmine and Orris

Base Notes - Amber, Vetiver and Papyrus

3. Thierry Mugler - Alien

A much loved and raved about perfume, this has always been one that I just haven't been sure about but have always been interested by. There is something so unusual about this fragrance that has always attracted me to this scent - it's a lot more intense and arguably muskier than scents I am used to wearing and so I've always been unsure of whether to get it. It's a very unique smell and one you'd definitely recognise instantly.

Middle Notes - Wood

Base Notes - Amber

Haul ft MAC and Victoria Secrets!

Hello everyone! How is your week going so far?

Mine is going pretty well, it isn't long now till I start back at University - which strangely, I'm looking forward too! Let's see how long that lasts..

Anyway, I recently got a few things and thought I'd post a mini haul about it. Firstly, I made a repeat purchase of a product I've really been enjoying for the past few months. It is none other than the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water. This for me is a skincare basic and I'd definitely recommend it - you can check out a review I wrote on this product here!

 Next is a product I have heard so much about for quite a long time now in the beauty community. That product is MAC's Paint Pot in "Soft Ochre" which is a cream formula, eyeshadow base. I wanted something to dull out the pigmentation of my eyelids and provide a clean base for my eyeshadows and so far, I'm really enjoying this!

And finally, I took a trip to Victoria Secrets.. No, I didn't get a fancy (and extremely overpriced) bra or pair of undies but something even better; a body mist! This stuff is in the scent "Mango Temptation" and is DIVINE. Seriously, it smells so good - if you are ever near a VS store, give it a sniff and you'll see what I mean!

Mini Haul Ft. Lush & Butter London!

Hello everyone! I hope you're having a good week so far. Mine has been pretty good and one particularly good thing that happened in my week was that I GOT A JOB! 

This will be my first "proper" paid job and I'm super excited to start it. 

Anyway, in todays post I just wanted to share with you a small haul from this week. 

The first thing that I got was a Lush bath bomb - it's the Rose Jam bubble bar and the main reason I wanted it was for its really beautiful smell. It's sweet and candy-like and that's my favourite!

Finally, I got two nail polishes from the brand Butter London. Now, I'm not one to spend ridiculous prices for nail polishes even if they are higher end and in this case, it was no different! I got these polishes for only £3.99 each - £8.00 less than their RRP! How you ask? From TK Maxx!

 I had no idea it had such an awesome collection of beauty products - I'm actually really impressed at their collection, especially in nail polishes, you should definitely check it out.

BEAUTY HAUL ft: Eyeko, Beauty UK, NYX and more!

Hey everyone! i hope you've all had an awesome week. Mine has been a little busy - but I've been keeping it that way on purpose. I've been trying to make my spare days as productive as I've can so I've been doing a lot of Uni work as well as preparing for a big placement interview I've got coming up. I'm pretty nervous about it as sometimes, I can feel pretty scared when interacting with people in a situation like that - it's something i'm trying to work on and I'm determined to give it my best shot and if all ends badly, at least use it as some useful experience for next time! Wish me luck, eh?

Anyway, in this post I'm sharing a little haul of a few things that I have gathered in the last 2 weeks. They are mostly beauty products (shocking I know) as well as new fragrance that I picked up! All of these products are ones I have never tried before so expect reviews soon!

One of the things I am particularly excited about is this beautiful L'Oreal eyeshadow from their Color Riche Monos collection. It is in the shade 601 'Rising Sun' - in their 'chameleon' finish which gives it this beautiful pearlescent finish that looks different colours in the light. I was suggested this by my beautiful friend Tanith (who by the way has an awesome blog you should totally check out here) whilst we did a little makeup shopping and so far, I love it!

Small Haul! Ft. Yankee Candle, Boots & Lush!

What's up everyone? 

Today I have a really small haul that I want to share with you, enjoy!

Yankee Candle in Strawberry Buttercream (Medium Jar) - £12.74

Though it can definitely be said that I have more than enough of my fair share of Yankee candles stored away, I simply could not pass up on this offer. This particular fragrance of Yankee candle, 'Strawberry Buttercream' - (which just so happens to be my favourite) was on a 25% off sale. Therefore, I just HAD to buy it, right? Right.

Boots Multivitamins with Iron (30 Tablets) - £2.05

I'm attempting to make small steps into leading a healthier lifestyle; exercising when I can, drinking more water, eating better etc.. With that, I also thought that I'd try to take more vitamins and vital nutrients too. So, I bought some multi-vitamins from Boots which were on a 3 for 2 deal at the time, not bad.

Mavala 'That's My Colour' Trio - £6.50

I've been getting into nail polish recently and came across this little trio from the brand Mavala whilst in John Lewis. This collection is part of the 'That's My Colour' campaign that the brand released which from reading the packaging was a campaign in which people could submit suggestions for colours they'd love to see in nail polish form. I thought this was a pretty cool idea and having never tried the brand (as well as the lovely sale price tag of £6.50), I decided to buy it!

And finally, what shopping trip - big or small is complete without a trip to Lush? I decided as it had been a while to pop into the store and ended up buying to of my favourite bath treats. Firstly, I got Butterball which is a simple moisturising bath bomb with shea butter extracts. I then got Dream Time which is a really relaxing, lavender smelling bath melt.

So yeah, quite a small haul in today's post but I hope it interest you nonetheless!

A Small Beauty Haul.

Hey everyone! I recently did a little bit of shopping on Fragrance Direct as well as picking up a lipstick from Boots. Fragrance Direct are awesome for highly discounted beauty products - I'm definitely going to try and shop on there more often and you should too! I also picked up the Kate Red Lipstick from Rimmel in the limited edition Red Nose Day packaging - this is really beautiful, classic true red and I've been wanting it for a while now!

Beauty and Fashion Haul!

Hey guys, today I have another haul post for you all - this time, it's all beauty and fashion related. I got a couple of things on sales and them some things were just items I'd been eyeing for some time and finally decided to get! Let's dive in, shall we? 

Urban Outfitters Scarf - £24.00
Forever21 Cream Gloves - £7.99

It's cold in the UK, really cold. Therefore, scarfs and gloves are pretty much a necessity in this country. This scarf is SO thick and warm, let me tell you! It's also really big so you could probably use it as a kind of shawl / wrap type thing if you wanted to as well!

Moroccanoil Volume Set - £25 @ Selfridges

I picked up this Moroccanoil set after spending some time debating about whether or not to purchase the oil that this set comes with. I'd heard a lot of good things about it but of course, a £25 bottle of oil is a purchase I needed to give some thought. When I spotted this one day in Selfridges for the same price I thought it was a win-win; I get to try the oil and 3 other products from the same brand too! Look out for a review on these items soon.

Vera Wang Princess Gift Set - £20 @ Debenhams

Vera Wang Princess is one my all time favourite scents. It does look a little, childish in terms of packaging the older you get, but I really love the scent and personally think that the smell itself isn't. Although I currently have a big bottle of this already, I spotted this set on sale in Debenhams for £20. The savvy shopper I am, I checked the perfume isle for the 30ml to check it's price and to my surprise, it was £40 on it's own! Therefore, I considered this too good an offer to miss and popped it straight in my basket!

Dr Martens - £110

Ah, I think these beauties speak for themselves - just look at them. I'd spotted this gorgeous pair of Dr Martens a while back and ever since I've been debating with myself whether or not to buy them. Finally, after standing around in the Dr Martens store looking awkward for quite a few minutes, I decided to just bite the bullet and buy them. The outcome? I LOVE them! Come on, LOOK AT THEM.

Okay, yes more shoes. I may have a huge teeny bit of a problem. However, in my defence these were on sale so I think my purchase was quite justified. Okay, so maybe I didn't need them but there were just £20.80 so I think for a pair of Converse, that's hard to walk away from. At least for me, anyway...

Recently, I've been noticing that some of my lip products are bleeding a little and are not as long lasting as they could or should be. So, I decided to try out lip liners - which are something I'm not really a huge fan of. I tried to get some 'basic' colours so that I could use them with multiple lipsticks. I also got a clear one that I plan to compare to my clear liner from OCC!

 I picked up two lipstick from MAC and Urban Decay whilst browsing in Debenhams. I'm not crazy on MAC lipstick like I know a lot of people are, but I have a few shades which I think are something special and worth the price. This is one of them, it's a bright, pinky-purple shade that in the tube reminded me of Heroine a little bit - also from MAC. As well as that, I picked up my second Urban Decay lipstick - my first one, from the Pulp Fiction collection had the most the amazing formula and feel on the lips and I knew I wanted to try more.

OCC Lip Tar in Strumpet - £11.95

As you guys probably know, I'm a major OCC Lip Tar fan - I think they're amazing value for money and they're superb quality. I picked up this lovely, Winter appropriate colour from Selfridges and I really like it!

Next off, I got a thermos mug from Starbucks. I'm always drinking either tea or coffee and wanted something I could travel with as well as just something that kept my drink warmer for longer. This is perfect for just that and I quite like the design, too!

Reading is one of my first loves and it's something I've been trying to make more time for lately. Life can be so busy but it's amazing how relaxing and enriching sitting down with a good book is. As a horror fan, I thought it a must to purchase some works by the infamous author and poet that is Edgar Allan Poe - this book has a large collection of some of his most famous works. 

I also picked up a photography book - this is basically a book that explains the basics of the digital photography from the inside of a DSLR to Photoshop. I first started practising photography in my first year of University and I've loved it ever since. For this reason, I'm always trying to learn more and I figured this book would be a good place to start!

Beauty Haul Ft. OCC, Sleek and More!

Hey everyone! I hope you all had an awesome Christmas and with that, what better a way for me to do a post-Christmas post but with a haul?! 

So, the things I'm going to share with you were partly bought by me and partly received as lovely Christmas presents. As you can probably see, I'm still on that lip product craze I mentioned before - a girl can never have to many lipsticks, right? Christmas Lush Haul!

Hey guys! I have a little haul post for you all today - I haven't done one in quite a while so I hope you enjoy! I have a Christmas themed Lush haul for you with some goodies that are all early Christmas presents - I popped in to Lush yesterday to pick up some of them myself, too.

Firstly, I got 2 bottles of Snow Fairy - I got the large bottles (500g) as you can see and they retail for £11.95! Snow Fairy is probably the most popular product released at Christmas time in Lush and honestly, I can see why. It smells gorgeous firstly and I'd happily buy it all year round if it was sold then just because of that fact alone! Snow Fairy also contains this really beautiful blue sparkle that contrasts really nicely with the pink - it just makes the whole product feel that little bit more Christmassy and along with the smell, it really makes you feel so pampered when using it. This year, Snow Fairy also has an additional ingredient of skin-softening seaweed. If you buy anything from Lush this year, I'd definitely go for this!

Next off, I got a little bottle (100g) of the Rose Jam shower gel which retails for £4.75 - I have previously tried the bath / bubble bar of this scent and I'm really excited to try out this. Rose Jam is a rose scented shower gel containing argan oil, organic rose absolute and rose oil together with vanilla pod.

On to the bath bombs and bubble bars now; I firstly have the Father Christmas bath bomb which is supposed to turn your bath bright red and then to a vivid green. To my liking, it also contains the Snow Fairy scent which I think is great! These bath bombs retail for £3.50 each.

I also got the Candy Moutain bubble bar which is a lovely sweet smelling treat with vanilla. It smells like Lush's infamous Rock Star soap and with give your bath plenty of bubbles layered with a pretty pink mist on top! Candy Moutain Bubble Bars retail for £2.95 each!

So, finally in this haul I got the ButterBall bath bomb which is a bath bomb perfect for dry, sensitive and irritated skin. It contains cocoa butter and ylang ylang for that extra bit of relaxation. These retail at Lush for £2.65 each!

BEAUTY HAUL!

Hey! Today I've got a beauty haul for you, it's definitely been a while right?

So, firstly I picked up quite a few lip products - I may have gone a little crazy... First up is a MAC lipstick in 'Creme Cup'. It's actually a beautiful nude colour and is so flattering on light skin tones - it's quite a tame colour for my but I really do like it.

Next I got one of the Too Faced Melted Liquid Lipsticks - I've been wanting to try these for ages so I finally gave in and purchased one in the colour 'Melted Violet'.

The last lip product I bought was a Lime Crime lipstick. Once again, this has been a brand I've been wanting to try for sometime - unfortunately, they're not too readily available. I finally got one of their lipsticks though and it was in the shade 'PoisonBerry'.

Moving on to face products now, I picked up the highly coveted Revlon Colorstay foundation in the shade 'Buff'. I do already have this foundation but it's the wrong skin type formulation - it gives me a matte finish and with skin that is more on the dry side, this isn't too great. I actually paid attention this time and picked up the normal / dry skin version and I've really been enjoying it!

I've never tried MAC concealers and I know they're often raved about. I've been on the look out for a new, good quality concealer and so I picked up their Pro-Longwear one in the shade 'NC20'. So far, I'm really enjoying this concealer but I'm not impressed with the darn pump on it. It's so hard to control so I always end up with too much - an annoying fact when this product is so pricey!

The final item(s) I picked up are technically Christmas gift items but hey, I wanted them okay? They are these really cute Benefit mini's that come with a free pink Christmas stocking. Even though they're mini sizes, £15 for all four of these items is actually a STEAL from a brand like Benefit. And, they're all products I've never tried before (apart from Benetint) so it's great to be able to try out some new products without spending loads.
