Hey all, it's time for another outfit post...

Today's look was quite a laid back and casual one. Firstly, I wore my light wash skinny jeans along with a simple, flowy white top.

For added comfort, I wore my super warm and soft grey Superdry hoodie. I also wore my white high top Converse along with some cute frilly socks to add that little bit of girly-ness to the outfit.

To accessorise, I just wore a chunky gold statement necklace and that was it!

REVIEW: Sleek's i-Candy Eyeshadow Palette.

Hey guys! Today I'm here with a review and this time it's on Sleek's i-Candy eyeshadow palette -which is apart of their i-Divine palette range. This particular palette is full of bright, candy inspired colours and they have equally sweet names to match.

The shadows range from matte, shimmer and frost finishes. Let's take a closer look at the shadows...

So, on the first row of the palette from the left, we have Strawberry Sherbet which is a Barbie bright, matte pink. It's quite nicely pigmented and blends fairly well.

Next we have Bon Bon which is a frosty light pink. It's very pretty and looks lovely in the light.

Parma Violet is a deep matte purple and one of my favourites from the palette. It's well pigmented and is buildable too, which I like.

Apple Sour is frosty apple green which can look a little blue in certain lights.

Pear Drop is a shimmery lime green, it looks quite yellow in some lights but is pretty nonetheless.

Flump is a beautiful, bold purple shade. It's fairly pigmented and has a matte finish.

On to the second row of the palette, we have Liquorice which is a matte black - it's a nice black for soft look but it is not the most pigmented.

Then, we have Blue Fizzle which is a grey kind of toned blue. It's quite a deep, metallic shade.

Aniseed is next and this is frosty and shimmery reddy pink shade. Again, it's nicely pigmented and makes for an interesting colour.

Bubble Gum is a lovely bright sky blue colour and it has a matte finish. It's highly pigmented!

Mint Cream is a green with a little bit of shimmer running through it. It's more on the pastel shade and is kind of comparable to Apple Sour without the frostiness.

Finally, we have Cream Soda which is an extremely shimmery white. It's very pigmented and has the most fall out of all the shades.

Overall, I'm really impressed with the palette and it's definitely one of my current favourites. More or less all of the colours are so pigmented and not too mention absolutely gorgeous to look at. There's a nice mix of both shimmer and matte shades which means there's going to be something for everyone's preference. I think this palette also makes a great dupe for some higher end palettes with bright colours - most notably Urban Decay's Electric Palette. If you like bright colours, or maybe just want to start using them, I think this is definitely a worth while buy. At only £7.99 from Superdrug, I really don't think you can go wrong - especially with the high quality you'll be getting from this palette.

First Impressions: Makeup Revolution Lipsticks!

Hey guys! So, today I'm doing a first impression post on a couple of lipsticks that I picked up a few weeks ago. These lipsticks are from a relatively new makeup brand called Makeup Revolution. I'd say in terms of price and product range, they are quite comparable to MUA. As far as I know, they too are only available from Superdrug.

Just like MUA, Makeup Revolution sell lipsticks for the amazing price of just £1 - at those prices (and the fact that Superdrug was offering a tempting free delivery on an over £10 spend), I just had to give them a go. I bought four lipsticks in total and I'll go through the shades with some pictures and swatches. What I particularly like about these lipsticks is that they all have names, which is a nice touch and makes them seem a lot more higher end to me.

The first shade I picked up was in Beloved. This is a matte pink lipstick which as far as I can tell has the tiniest bit of shimmer in it as well. It's not as pigmented as it looks in the bullet, but it's still a nice colour on the lips.

Next, I picked up Crime which is a creamy lipstick with a subtle kind of gloss finish. I love this colour personally and i think it's a really nice shade - a sort of hot pink / purple. 

I also picked up Twist which is a really interesting orange / red colour. It has a kind of glossy, metallic finish and it's very pigmented and true to colour.

Finally, I picked up Cheer which is a very shimmery, nude pink colour. It's quite sheer but it's very pretty nonetheless and it would go well a more intense eye look.

Overall, I'm really impressed with the lipsticks from Makeup Revolution and I will definitely be trying more. They're nicely pigmented and come in a range of different finishes to suit every look and every individual. They have a huge shade range which I really like and compared to MUA, they have a much more diverse range of colours on offer. 

I'll be really interested to try some more production from the brand - I'm particularly interested in the Naked Palette dupes. If I were you, I'd definitely give this a brand and their lipsticks a go - for the price you really cannot go wrong.

An Eyeshadow Look: Green, Pink & Purple.

Hey! Today I've got something I haven't done in a while on my blog: a step by step eyeshadow look. For this look, I used my Sleek i-Divine palette in i-Candy. Of course though, if you want to re-create this look for yourself you can use any colours you have that are similar!

So, firstly I went ahead and filled in my eyebrows as usual and then highlighted my brow bone with a matte white eyeshadow from Sugarpill.

Next, I primed my eyelids with a NYX Jumbo Pencil in the shade Milk which is a white. After this, I also depended my crease by sweeping a mid brown eyeshadow all through it.

Then, I applied a light green eyeshadow to my entire lid - keeping below the crease. I applied the shadow in a patting motion to avoid fallout and to make sure I kept as much colour intensity as possible.

After the green, I added a purple into the outer corner of the eyelid and half way into the crease. I blended this a little, and then grabbed a little bit of bright pink eyeshadow and swept that all the way into the crease as well.

To deepen the look a little bit and make it a little bit darker, I added a tiny bit of black eyeshadow into the outer corner - making sure not to bring it out too much and that I blended as well.

Once I had done this, I lined my top lid with a liquid liner and winged it out and then applied some mascara. I also lined my bottom lid with a little bit of the purple and pink eyeshadow mixed together and filled in my lower waterline with a black, kohl liner.

And that's the look completed! Apologises for the lighting and clarity in the photos,I was having trouble taking photos of my eyes myself with my DLSR as it's not something I usually do. I found it pretty challenging perhaps more so because I wasn't using a tripod. If any of you have any helpful tips on photography detailed makeup looks on yourself, please share!

REVIEW: Pixi's Correction Concentrate Brightening Peach Concealer.

Hey guys! I've got a review for you all today on Pixi's Correction Concentrate Brightening Peach concealer.

This is described as a highly pigmented concealer made to instantly erase darkness making skin look rested, bright and youthful.

It's a fairly well known fact that various shades of concealers can help to diffuse different types of pigmentation colour in your skin. Peachy / yellow toned concealers such as this are made to diffuse redness and darkness - primarily under the eyes. I apply this product underneath my foundation - applying it under my eyes and in any areas where I see a lot of redness.

In the look and concept, you may see similarities to Benefit's Erase Paste - but these two products are actually quite different. I love the packaging of this because it comes in a pot form meaning you can get as much product as you want out.

Unlike the Erase Paste, Pixi's Correction Concentrate isn't exactly full coverage. It's not as thick and is more light weight than the Erase Paste but it does still effectively eradicate redness and darkness - whilst also brightening the eye. For an even brighter look, I like to apply a liquid concealer over the top in a slightly lighter shade than my skin tone.

It can cake and crease a little, so I'd suggest you really make sure you eye and under eye area is primed well with moisturiser or cream and then to make sure you apply powder after application.

Overall, I do see a significant difference in the appearance of my under eyes with this product on. It combats redness and darkness very well and in addition to my usual concealer, helps to me to look a lot more awake and refreshed. 

If you're looking for a good concealer for your under eyes, I'd recommend you give this a go. I got mine from ASOS and it was £12 - you can also find it on FeelUnique.com!

Hey!

So, it's another outfit post for you all today and I firstly wore this basic, striped vest. Along with this, I wore some dark blue skinny jeans that I rolled up above the ankle

With these, I wore a fitted blazer. I think this is a great piece to have in your wardrobe because it goes with so much. For a usually formal piece, you can really dress this up or down like I have.

Finally, I wore my black converse to finish off the look - and that's it!

Hey guys, another outfit post for you all today.

Firstly, I wore this oversized, sheer blouse. As it was sheer, I wore a bandeau underneath.

I wore with my blouse these high waisted checkered jeans. These are the Topshop Joni jeans and I absolutely love them. I also have them in a deep blue colour and they are probably the comfiest jeans I have ever had.

On my feet I wore my chunky strappy sandals from Newlook. To accessories, I simply wore a chunky gold chain necklace.

Hello! I'm back with another post for you all today and it's going to be an outfit of the day...

So, firstly I wore this white oversize blouse with black polka dots. I love the material of this blouse - it's like chiffon and it's super soft and flowy.

Next, I wore my acid look jeggings. Jeggings are probably my favourite things to wear on my legs. They are the perfect balance for me as they have the comfort of leggings but still look and fit like a good pair of skinny jeans!

On top of the blouse I wore my dark red cable knit cardigan and then finally on my feet, I wore my heeled cut out ankle boots.

I also wore a black satchel bag and a chunky gold necklace to accessorise.

Makeup Organisation and Storage Tips!

Hey guys! So, today I thought I'd share some makeup organisation and storage tips with you all - I hope you enjoy!

1. Go to your local pound shop.

Pound shops have all sorts of great things that you can utilise to help you with your storage. Tubs, mini draws, boxes and baskets - these are things that are perfect to put your makeup in.

2. Get a set of drawers.

If your makeup collection is steadily growing like mine, you might not be able to store in it a little makeup box like I used to. Instead, why not get a set of drawers? Until it gets enormous, I'm sure perhaps a set or two of plastic drawers will work just fine which are super cheap and affordable. Or, places like Ikea are super popular for a wooden chest of drawers if that's what you're after.

3. Purpose, brand, type or colour?

A great way to organise your makeup for easy access is to store it in the way that is easiest for you to remember. So, this could be by purpose for instance - which is my choice of organisation. I have a draw for face products, eye products and lip and cheek products. Alternatively, you can organise by brand - pop all your MAC stuff in one spot and then all the L'Oreal in another. You could also organise your products by their type and formulation - is it cream, liquid or powder? You can even organised by colour if you want. Whatever works for you.

4. Store your lipsticks upside down...

A great way to store your lipstick is yes, upside down. Usually, you'll find the shade name and colour sticker on the bottom of most of your lipsticks. By storing your lipsticks upside down, you'll be able to easily see the one you're looking for without having to root around and pick everyone up and inevitably turn the upside down to see the name anyway! Of course, make exceptions for those lovely lipstick that show the shade on the top!

5. Labels are your friend!

Labels are great ways to find what you want without having to root through every little thing. If you're not sure on what something you have is called, label it! If your drawers aren't clear or acrylic - label each draw so you know what you'll find inside.

6. Use things around the house.

There are alsorts of videos and blog posts on super cute DIY storage solutions you can make from products in your own home. Even if you don't fancy making anything, things like old vases, old glass bottles and even jam jars make great storage for your brushes. If they're clear, why not fill them up with some funky looking marbles too?

7. Don't put it all away...

We all have products we use more or less everyday for a period of time - we'll go through phases of using certain products a lot for a couple of weeks and then rotating to something different. That being the case, make sure you leave those things out - maybe on the top of the drawer or sectioned off from your other makeup. This saves you having to sift through things when you know exactly what you're going to be using anyway. You can rotate products from this section any time you want too!

REVIEW: Benefit's 'They're Real' Mascara!

Hey guys! So i'm back today with a review for you all on the much raved about 'They're Real' mascara from Benefit cosmetics.

I've heard so much about this mascara ever since it came out and countless beauty bloggers and Youtubers rave about it as a holy grail product - I thought I'd review it today and give you my opinion on it!

So, firstly I really like the packaging of this product, for a higher end piece of makeup i think this fact is really communicated in the way it looks and although you're buying it for it's performance, that's still always nice.

On to the product itself: let's start with the brush. The brush is synthetic and quite thin in width, with this sort of spikey 'ball' on the end of it. It reminds me a little bit of the wand on L'Oreal's Telescopic mascara - though i don't find it as flexible. 

Before I tell you guys about my opinions of the formula and the mascara itself, I'll give you a little bit of insight onto my own lashes so that you will have a better idea of how this mascara will work for you. My eyelashes are super long (which I can't complain about) but are also unfortunately straight and thick. This means it's pretty darn impossible for them to hold curl and so I have difficulty finding any mascara that do this for me - even with the aid of an eyelashes curler before application. 

The formula and mascara itself really doesn't do a lot for me, I'm afraid. Yes, it's a a dark, rich black colour which is lovely - but the formula is far too wet and therefore it's so easy to smudge and get it on your eyelids. As well as this, perhaps due to the wetness of the formula, or even my thick lashes - the mascara clumps a lot even with a minimum of two coats. However, if I perhaps use a lighter hand and maybe only one coat, it may work a little better - I don't know yet but I'll keep you updated if I do ever get on with this product! The spiky ball on the end of the wand IS great for getting all those little lashes which is nice, but overall I'm just not impressed by this mascara.

L'Oreal Telescopic and a lot of the Maybelline Volum' Express mascara's are my all time favourites as they are the only mascara's I have used so far that do give me curl and don't clump. For me, I'd buy them again and again over Benefit's They're Real and for me, it's not at all worth the hype or the £18.50 price tag.

As I said though, I do have thick lashes and this may be a primary factor in the clumpy outcome the mascara produces for me - maybe it will work better on thinner lashes. This is something i've seen on a lot of other blogs and review I've read about this product, but I've also seen a lot of great outcomes from using it where the lashes really do look amazing and completely different.

For me, this is definitely a bit of a miss and I can't ever see myself repurchasing the mascara. Of course, if you want to give it a go - go for it, but i'd probably only recommend this to those with thin lashes. You can pick up this mascara from Boots and Department stores such as John Lewis or Debenhams. Boots also do the half price travel size of this mascara - maybe something you should give a go before buying the full size! I think maybe i'll wait till the formula tries out a little or try a different application technique and use the mascara again, but for now - I'm not a fan.

Hey guys. I've got an outfit post for you all today...

So, firstly I wore this sheer, oversized black blouse. I really like this piece and I think you could dress it up in different ways.

With the blouse, I wore my high waisted blue skinny jeans. These are such a lovely fit and very flattering. 

For shoes, I wore my pointed flats that I recently got from ASOS.

To accessorise, I just wore a chunky gold necklace.

Haul! Superdrug & ASOS.

Hey! So, I did one of my favourite things recently - online shopping of course and I have a haul to share with you!

Firstly, Superdrug had a 'spend over 10 and get free delivery' deal and so how could I possibly refuse? I just had to make an order, honestly! I picked up some MUA lipsticks, the first being in shade 3. I've seen this swatched and raved about among the beauty community and so I really wanted to try it.

I also got another MUA lipstick in Bare which is a nude.

Next I got two eyebrow pencils from Rimmel. I use powder to fill my eyebrows in but I always end up going back to these pencils or just using them in conjunction with powder. I got two shades in Hazel and Dark Brown.

Next, I got a Sleek palette. I love Sleek palettes - they're affordable and really pigmented. I also love the well, sleek packaging - it looks higher end. This palette is from the i-Divine range and it's called i-Candy.

Lastly from Superdrug, I got some hair dye. I colour my hair purple and have done for a few years now - this is one of my favourite dyes because it has a lightener built into it as well. It's in the shade Ultraviolet.

Onto ASOS! Firstly, I got these shoes which are from Newlook. I don't really have any pointed shoes and I've never really been a fan of them. However, I really love these ones. I think they look really classy and elegant and I love the ankle strap which I think looks so feminine.

I also picked up Small Talk from TIGI. This is a 3-1 styling product - you can use it on dry hair to dispel dryness and frizziness. You can also use it as a heat protectant and pop it on wet hair. It also gives texture and volume to wet or dry hair. I'm excited to use this, - it smells great I can tell you that.

I wanted to try Pixi Comestic products and so I picked up two things rom the brand. Firstly I got this eye, cheek and face palette. I think it looks really pretty and is full of lovely neutral colours.

I also got this Pixi Peach Correction Concentrate which helps to cancel out red tones and blemishes on your face.

Finally from ASOS, I picked up this cute hair scrunchie. Lately i'm loving hair accessories and so I got another one!
