NOTD: 25/01/14.

Hey! It's a nail post for you all today...

Once again, I'm wearing my current favourite nail colour which is from OPI in the shade 'Significant Other'. To give it a little twist though, I have added some glitter polishes on top!

The first glitter polish I have applied is from Barry M and it is called 'Pink Sapphire Glitter'. It has silver confetti like pieces of silver glitter and then pink chunky pieces as well.

On top this, I added Barry M 'Diamond Glitter' polish which has finer, multicoloured pieces of glitter in it.

Together, they create this really pretty nail look! As always, I topped everything off with a top coat to lock in that colour and help prevent chipping or damage.

And that's it! Thank you for reading!

D.I.Y Mocha Frappuccino!

Hey guys! This is post is a little bit different to my usuals, but I want to start incorporating some of those into my blog now and then.

Anyway, in this post I am going to show you how to make a mocha frappuccino at home. I personally am a coffee lover but this is still a really tasty drink for those that aren't fond of coffee as primarily the taste of this drink is all about the chocolate (mocha) element. It's also a chilled drink which is probably strange because it's fairly cold over here in the UK but I pretty much drink this rain or shine!

So, you will need:

  • Chocolate Syrup
  • Ice
  • Coffee
  • Sugar
  • Milk
  • A blender or smoothie maker that can handle ice
  • A glass and straw

First, put two cups off ice into your blender of smoothie maker. Then, make some double strength coffee - you can do this by adding two tea spoons of coffee granules to your water instead of one! You will need about 3/4 of a mug of coffee for this. Add your coffee (which you need to leave to cool) to your ice in your blender. Now add one cup of milk.

Next, add 3-4 tablespoon of sugar to your mix and the chocolate syrup to your taste - I added about 3 big squirts. Finally, blend everything together until the ice is completely crushed - your frappucino will serve 2-3 people. Enjoy!

REVIEW: E.L.F Studio Matte Lip Colour.

Hey! Today I have a review for you all. I shall be reviewing ELF's Studio Matte Lip Colour. It's been a while since I've spoken about or even bought any E.L.F products but I recently made an order with them and this lipstick is one of the things I purchased.

E.L.F describes this product to be convenient and rich in pigmentation. The lipstick is a twist up form so it requires no sharpening and the thinner end makes for more precise application in my opinion. There are 5 shades to choose from and I got mine in the shade 'Rich Red' which is a deep, cherry red kind of shade. As you may have guessed too, the lipstick of course has a matte finish - something i'm starting to grow fond of in lip products at the moment!

I'm really impressed with the pigmentation of this product and it applies very nice and smoothly too. The colour is also really buildable so you can achieve more of an intense look if you wanted to. I'm not really convinced that these lipsticks are all that moisturising, but for me that isn't really an important factor. They last for a good couple of hours without re-applying - around 3 to 4 I have found.

Overall, for it's pigmentation and matte finish - I really like this lipstick. I love the shade and the fact that it's buildable and the retail price is an added bonus too at only £3.75. No, it's not all that moisturising but for me it's not really about that as you can always apply a balm underneath before application.

You can purchase this lipstick for yourself on E.L.F's website here.

Thank you for reading this review, I really hope you enjoyed it and found it helpful or interesting! As always, leave any comments or suggestions you might have and I will be sure to get back to you!

On my feet I have on my favourite footwear at the moment - my Dr Marten boots!

And lastly because it was a little cold outside, I wore my navy duffle coat.

Big Collective Beauty HAUL!

Hey! I've got a collection beauty haul for you in todays post. These are things from various shops collected over the past few weeks - enjoy!

Starting with skincare, I picked up these wipes from Garnier. They were on sale and looked quite nice so I thought I'd try them out.

I also repurchased this Boots own cucumber eye gel. I find it very soothing and nice on the eyes, it helps to reduce puffiness well.

I got this Burts Bees pomegranate lip balm too, I've had the original lip balm before and I really loved it so I thought I'd try out another!

On to hair, I picked up this new shade from Schwarzkopt. When using permanent dye, this is my go to brand - it's my favourite so I was very happy to see another purple shade released from them!

Speaking of dying my hair, I can't always wash it that often which is why I love dry shampoo so much. I picked up some more of my favourite Batiste dry shampoo!

On to nails now, I got this Models Own confetti top coat. I picked silver as it pretty much goes with anything and it's a good one to go with as I really wanted to try a confetti polish!

I got some more nail polish remover as well from the brand Cutex - always a necessary thing to have!

Now, makeup! I firstly picked up another Maybelline 24hr Colour Tattoo cream eyeshadow. These apply really nicely and make eye shadows looks so quick and easy to do - great for a busy day!

MUA have a released a matte lipstick range recently and I picked up this lovely red shade.

Also from MUA, I got another new release which is the Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquers!

I also got this pretty pink lipstick from Miss Sporty.

Revlon ColorStay foundation is one I have always hear a lot about and so I picked it up too!

Another make up product I have always heard a lot about is the Maybelline Eraser concealer which I decided to purchase as well.

And lastly - fragrance! I got myself Dot by Marc Jacobs. I've wanted this fragrance for so, so long and I finally decided to treat myself and get it.

PHEW - that's the end of the haul! Thank you very much for reading, I hoped you liked this post. Be sure to post comments and suggestions if you have any - I love to hear from you!

NOTD: My First OPI Polish...

Hey! As you may have guessed from the title, this is going to be a nails of the day post! Recently, I picked up my first ever OPI nail polish! Now, I do have some of their crackle lacquers but none of their 'normal' polishes. I purchased this polish from John Lewis after finding it in the reduced section, I got an amazing 50% off!

The shade is called 'Significant Other' and it's this lovely sort of duo-tone shade. It looks in certain lights like a dark lilac and in others you can see this greeny-yellow colour running through it. It has a very metallic looking finish which I love.

I applied two coats of this polish and then popped a clear top coat on top!

And that's it! Thank you all for reading!

REVIEW: MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer.

Hey! I have a review for you all today - enjoy!

I'm going to be reviewing an MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Laquer. This is a fairly recent release from MUA and I got my lacquer in the shade 'Kooky'. It's a deep purple colour - very different from any shades of purple lipsticks I own but I really like it.

To describe the lacquers formula, I'd say it was like a thick lipgloss consistency. It comes in sleek, simple packaging with the standard wand style. The lacquer is very highly pigmented and it is build able too, to achieve an even more intense colour.

So, the lacquer goes on quite liquify and within about 20-30 seconds it dries and gives a matte finish. I really like this and would compare this to the Creme Puff's from Collection. The only thing I really don't like about this lacquers is the fact that they crack and rub off pretty easily when you put your lips together. The more I applied, the more I found this happened, too. They definitely don't have very much staying power.

However, I really do love the colour pigmentation and the finish of this products. Although it doesn't stay put for long, I still think it would be ideal for perhaps a short day or night out somewhere - as long as you'd be willing to reapply now and then.

You can purchase MUA's Luxe Velvet Lip Laquer's from the MUA online store here OR from your local Superdrug and they retail at £3!

That's it! Thanks for reading, please leave any comments or suggestions you might have down below!

OOTD: 12/01/14.

Hey! This post is going to be an outfit of the day. Recently, I bought my first piece of tartan clothing - a trend I hadn't really taken an interest into until I found this tartan dungaree dress..

So yes - the dress... As I said before it's a dungaree dress; it has the clear dungaree style at the top and the straps that criss cross at the back and secure with a button. Then, it goes down into a skater style skirt. The pattern is this very classic bright red tartan print.

Underneath the dress, I wore a semi-sheer sleeveless white blouse. I wore a cream coloured cardigan, black tights and my tan brogues. To accessorise the look a little bit, I wore a spiked gold necklace.

As it was cold, I threw on my navy duffle coat - another recent purchase!

And that's the look complete, thanks for reading and I hope you liked this post!

Make Up of the Day: 11/01/14.

Hey! Today's post is going to be a make up look - something I haven't done for a little while. Today I had some new products to try which I was looking forward too. This look basically consists of a more subtle black and white smokey eye and a dark red/berry lip. I'll tell you guys what products I used and what tools I used to apply them - enjoy!

First off, for the foundation, I used Revlon's Colour Stay in the shade ''. For the concealer I used my Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection concealer in 'Light'. To apply both the foundation and concealer, I used my BeautyBay blending sponge.

Next, for the eyebrows I used a Revlon angled brush and a Revlon brow powder duo. I used the lightest brown for the front of my brows and then as I near the ends, I used a little bit of the darker powder.

Onto the eyelids, I primed them with my Urban Decay primer potion. Then, I used my Maybelline Colour Tattoo Cream Eyeshadow in 'Permanent Taupe' and applied it all over the eyelid - focusing more of it into the outer corner. I then used my Urban Decay Naked palette and applied the shade 'Virgin' to my inner third and onto the brown bone as a highlight. I took a little bit of the black from the palette and used it to line my bottom waterline a little bit. For mascara, I used my Maybelline Falsies in 'Black'.

Back onto the face, I used my Nars duo and took the shade 'Laguna' to contour. Then, I used my Sleek Blush by 3 palette in the shade 'Pink Sprint' for my cheeks.

I went for a dark lip and used my Lancaster lipstick in the shade number 50.

And that's the look complete! Thank you very much for reading this post and I really hope you enjoyed it!

As always, leave any comments of suggestions you might have as a I love hearing from you!
