4 Quality Drugstore Moisturizers Under £5!

Skincare, particularly facial skin care has always been something I have cared about. I know however that some products can come with a pretty high price tag and that really isn't practical for a lot of people, including myself. There are a lot of really great, natural products out there without all of this rubbish that half of these big brands claim will do you good! And as I have tried a fair few over the past few years, I thought I would share a few of them with you. Best bit - they are all under a fiver!

1. Boots Essentials Cucumber Moisturizing Cream 100ml:
This cream is very fresh and has a really nice cucumber scent to it. It is a little thick so would be best used as a night cream but if you use a little less than usual it should absorb for day use too. It is not greasy when absorbed and makes a great base for make up. The packaging isn't all that, but for £1.50 you can't go wrong!

2. Simple Kind to Skin Hydrating Light Moisturiser 125ml:
I have always loved Simple products and this one is definitely one of my old favourites and is one that I always go back to. This is a really popular and effective moisturizer which makes an ideal base for make up. It absorbs very quickly and feels really light and fresh on the skin. Like all Simple products, it contains no perfumes so it has no horrible smell or gives you any risk of irritation. This moisturizer retails at Boots for £3.79.

3. Olay Complete Care Fluid 100ml:
This moisturizer absorbs really nice into the skin without that greasy feeling to it afterwards. It also contains SPF which means it is great for use in the Summer time as you know that your skin will be protected and you will not need to apply any other lotion. This product is currently retailing at Superdrug for just £3.39!

4. Supedrug Vitamin E Intense Moisture Cream 100ml:
This is a cream that I have recently come across and I love it. This cream is great for combination skin helping to eradicate dryness and oiliness. It does not clog the pores and like the other moisturizers makes a really effective base for make up. It is a simple product that does exactly the job you need it to. This product retails at Superdrug for £2.99.

So, there you go! I love all of these products and would definitely recommend them! What are your favourite moisturizers?

  1. Hello Levinia!

I loved reading this post! It had great info about each product and was fun to read :)

I really want to try the light facial lotion in the spring/summer and heavier facial lotion in the fall/winter the simple line! I have liked all their products from their line I have tried so far. I love how their products don't have fragrances, perfumes, dyes, etc.

    Great post :)
